sebastian24 I have just completed a season with VIPSKI as a Chalet Host in Val D’Isere, France. In this role, I would be up early in order to make sure that the chalet was ready for breakfast and then I would be relied upon to cook individual breakfasts for each guest, after which, I would then bake a different cake everyday for their afternoon tea. As a Chalet Host I would then clean the chalet, making up their beds and cleaning their bathrooms before leaving. I would then come back in the evening to prepare and cook dinner; this would consist of a starter, main and desert, and on certain days, required to make canapés. I am currently seeking a position on a private yacht as a Host/Assistant Chef/Crew anywhere in the world. I am keen to learn and having just completed a winter season I am aware of how much hard work is involved and relish the challenge. I have previously worked at Royal Ascot Racecourse as a silver service host, managing a corporate box where delivering exceptionally high customer service is expected. I was the first point of contact for the VIP guests in their box and had to ensure that their every need was met in a courteous, professional manner and deal with any 'on the spot' problems that occurred and ensure a prompt solution was found, and the guests were not inconvenienced. During the winter season, working for VIPSKI, this was again a guest-facing role. The chalets were high end and the clientele expected a high level of customer service. I was responsible for running my own chalet, which included stocking, cooking and cleaning everyday to a high standard. During the season I was also expected to carry deep-cleans at different times in order to make sure that the chalet was of a high standard of cleanliness as this is what the guests would expect from an up-market company. Any problems within the chalet that the guests would raise, I would be the first person that would try to rectify the problem, which could have been difficult. Fortunately, my experience in hospitality guided me what to do; being an approachable person, this made it easy for me to see what the clients would want and subsequently make it happen, in order to enhance their holiday. In other job roles that I have fulfilled (detailed in my CV) I have gained many other skills, which I believe are transferable and beneficial for working on a yacht. I spent 3 years at Drama school, attaining a BA (HONS) Musical Theatre. I am confident and sociable and enjoy meeting new people but also know when to take a step back. I am very interested in pursuing a career in hospitality and would welcome the opportunity of working on a yacht. I would also like to mention that I have my STCW-95 course booked for the 24th of June 2013 and will be fully ready to start work after the 29th June. Please feel free to phone me as I would very much like the opportunity to discuss this and my suitability with you in more detail (07885296146).

I offer you my know-how as a delivery skipper, OWW or experienced crew, or a temporary Skipper (3 months max). I have navigated oceans since a young age: I have made my first Atlantic crossing in 1978 on board of the French ketch Kriter II. My last Atlantic crossing in 2012 on board of English 50 sloop Elphin II. During the eighties I was professional skipper on a Charter Sailing vessel. In 1990 the birth of my 3rd daughters, persuaded me to go back inshore. Sailing is my passion therefore I have always kept on yacht deliveries, making regattas and cruising. At the end of 2010 I started thinking:  "now that my daughters are grown up and self-sufficient I could go back at sea as professional skipper on a Sailing Vessel”. I feel that my lifelong relationship with yachting enables me to understand the wishes and the high needs of yacht owners. I’m in good health, no smoker, no tattoos, with a great competence about Italian cosine and wine. I am available for an interview at a mutually convenient time. Many thanks in advance for your time and consideration. Best Regards, Ernesto Faraco

OroJack I've traveled quite extensively over the years. I used to be an Electrical Engineer for a defense contractor. I don't currently know ship engines but I'm very interested to learn and I am a quick study for anyone willing to teach me. I've blue water sailed before around the West Indies and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I love the water and I've been nautical ever since I was in middle school. It's something I've always loved doing.
