rell064 Hi all, I am a 24 year old structural engineer from NZ (currently based in Sydney). I have grown up dinghy sailing and racing windsurfers internationally. I've also spent recent years racing and cruising on a 28 foot tracker. I also hold my PADI license (100+ dives) and have New Zealand Day Skippers and Boat Masters Qualifications. I have no offshore experience but plenty of coastal experience. I love the ocean and am keen to either work short term or crew recreationally for a few weeks/months. I'm fun, easy going and I learn quickly. If you think I'd be fit to come aboard don't hesistate to get in touch! Cheers

mjeanette Hello, I am a very hard-worker and a fast learner. I love boats, though to be honest my boat experience is more with lakes and rivers, I have been fishing and sailing on the ocean and it is beautiful. I also have experience in manual labor( bricklaying and building houses for impoverished communities in India) cooking, cleaning, and working with people.

Teut Lessons learnt whilst sailing: 1 You don't always end up where you expect to. 2 Tides are usually at really inconvenient times. 3 Lee cloths should be mandatory for bunk beds. 4 Nights/Upwind sailing is cold 5 Pray if you like, but row away from the rocks anyway.

r.rijhnen@gmail.com Dear sir, madam, I am writing to apply for a Cruise Job through a speculative application. After completing my BA course European Studies I graduated as marketing and communications manager at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands. This international oriented course focuses on languages, cultures, politics, history, law and economics. As part of this course I lived in Spain and studied marketing and communication courses at the University of Seville. With no doubt the most wonderful experience in my life. As I had to finish the final year of my course in The Netherlands I decided to find myself a job there. I have worked as Supervisor, Marketing and Communications Manager, Insurance Sales Agent/Personal Finance Advisor and currently I hold the position of Account Relation Manager, which means I am responsible for almost 300 insurance offices nationally concerning service and advise, increase sales, sell products and services and handle wishes and complaints. Although being an Account Relation Manager challenges my management skills, it lacks any international orientation. That is the main reason I decided for a career change, meaning I want to live and work on a cruise ship and follow my dream which I have for 14 years. To my opinion the best way of experiencing and delivering the high standard of customer service is being a crew member on board. I am dynamic, professional, passionate, friendly and empathetic and challenge myself as much as I can. Joining the cosmopolitan mix of young professionals, therefor living and working abroad in an international environment, is my goal and all I want. In addition to the qualifications and abilities outlined above, it is also recognized that cruise crew members have a range of skills, qualifications and experience that may be utilized and valued in other areas of the business. Therefor I will have the opportunity to develop my personal skills and experiences and I will be able to progress in a variety of directions. Working on board a cruise ship would be ideal in giving me the opportunity to use my education and skills to provide a high level of service. I look forward to hearing from you and being able to express my enthusiasm and why I will fit within the cruise industry. Enclosed you will find my Curriculum Vitae. Yours sincerely, Raymond Rijhnen
